A Quick Jaunt
After dealing with some vehicle issues I had an hour to hit up a small backwater near my house for an hour. It was just what I needed. My feet on the ground and a ton of carp in the water. Hooked two hoovers, landed one (a fatty female loaded with eggs), had two takes from bowfin (first of the year), landed one, and then nailed a big bullhead (14"- Master Class Bullhead on the fly!). Off to fish today!

Nice Drew!
ReplyDeleteThat bullhead is a massive fish. Brown BH are what were relocated here and some very few places give us fish such as that. Gosh, our carp are not spawning yet, usually a late may thing, but others' are latitudes more northerly. Bowfin is a bucket list thing with me.
